Terms of Service
Last updated:
1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LockLLM’s website, dashboard, and API (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. The Services
LockLLM provides tools intended to help detect and reduce prompt injection and related risks. The Services provide signals and classifications that you may use to inform your own security decisions.
You understand and agree that LockLLM is not a complete security solution and does not guarantee that attacks, breaches, data loss, or harmful outputs will be prevented.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services. You will not:
- Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity.
- Create multiple accounts to abuse free credits, tier benefits, promotional offers, or bypass usage limits.
- Share your account credentials or API keys with others, or allow unauthorized parties to use your account.
- Use automated tools or scripts to create accounts, claim bonuses, or manipulate the credit or tier systems.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or other security controls.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or models from the Services.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or systems that provide them.
- Use the Services to develop or distribute malware or exploit code.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions, including accounts created to abuse promotional offers or system resources.
5. Your content and inputs
You are responsible for the content you submit to the Services, including text sent to the API for scanning (“Inputs”). You represent that you have all rights and permissions necessary to submit such Inputs and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party rights.
You are responsible for determining whether Inputs contain sensitive information. You should not submit secrets, regulated data, or personal data unless you have assessed and accepted the risk.
6. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Services will detect all prompt injection attempts or other threats, or that use of the Services will prevent security incidents, breaches, data loss, service interruptions, or harmful outcomes.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOCKLLM AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICES.
THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES ARISING FROM SECURITY BREACHES, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, PROMPT INJECTION, MODEL MISBEHAVIOR, THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS, OR DECISIONS YOU MAKE BASED ON THE SERVICES’ OUTPUTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOCKLLM’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LOCKLLM FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100) IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANY AMOUNTS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LockLLM and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Services, (b) your Inputs, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.
10. Third-party services
The Services may integrate with or depend on third-party services (for example, hosting, authentication, billing, or model providers). LockLLM is not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Services or other users. You may stop using the Services at any time.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your jurisdiction. If you need a specific venue or jurisdiction clause, you should consult a qualified attorney and customize this section.
